Statement from the Alt Team

Yesterday we decided to close for kibitzers for the last two matches of the day. We observed the results and found them to be more balanced in the last two rounds.

Because of Alt's philosophy to entertain bridge players all over the world, we have decided to play with tables open for kibitzers from the first match today; however we will continue to observe and should we find it necessary, we will close again.

It is a tricky balance between a desire to entertain bridge fans but at the same time protect the integrity of the event. We hope and trust that players and bridgefans will support this approach and recognise we try our best to make online bridge an asset for players as well as kibitzers.
